About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
- Reduce interfering behaviors through the use of evidence-based interventions.
- Provide support and encouragement to children with autism.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with BCBA and other staff members.
- Document progress and communicate with parents and other caregivers.
- Ensure safety and comfort of children during all interactions.
- Adapt to the unpredictability and potential challenges of working with children with autism.
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if not done within the last year).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, etc.).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required after completing onboarding.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience and empathy towards children with autism.
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral interventions.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19 - $25 per hour.
Schedule
Hours may vary based on client needs and may include evenings and weekends.
