Position Summary

As an RBT or Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will implement treatment plans, teach new skills, support behavior goals, and help children make meaningful progress in their daily lives. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in:

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Support positive behavior development and behavior reduction goals
  • Collect and record accurate session data
  • Complete session notes and documentation promptly
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, teachers, and other service providers
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development

Requirements

Important Requirement
Experience Working Directly With Children Is Required. Applicants must have prior childcare experience such as:

  • Childcare or daycare
  • Teaching or teacher assistant roles
  • Paraprofessional positions
  • Camp counselor experience
  • After-school programs
  • Early childhood education
  • Special education support
  • Nanny or babysitting experience
  • Youth programs or coaching
  • Other professional or structured experience working with children

Candidates without childcare experience will not be considered.

Qualifications

  • Required
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Previous childcare experience
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Reliable transportation
    • Ability to travel to client homes, schools, or clinic locations as needed
    • Ability to pass required background screenings
    • Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire if not already certified
  • Preferred
    • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
    • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
