Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the Role

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists, working in homes, schools, and daycares. We hire certified RBTs and motivated people ready to become one. You’ll work one-on-one with kids with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities, following a personalized plan from your BCBA, implementing behavior strategies, collecting data, and building consistent relationships that help kids grow.

Your BCBA is closely involved and reachable, ensuring guidance and support without flying solo.

• Already an RBT:
  • Start working and earning right away
  • Work with clients in your region
  • A path toward BCBA certification if desired
• Not certified yet:
  • A clear path to becoming an RBT, with a BCBA mentor from day one
  • Many practices reimburse RBT training and pay you during hands-on learning
  • Support as you prepare for and sit for your certification exam

Pay

$20–$27/hour, based on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time with flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings to meet client needs. Reliable availability is required, as clients depend on consistency.

Requirements

• Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially kids who need extra patience and creativity
• Have an active RBT certification, or the drive to earn one
• Reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings
• Background in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or any role where you showed up for kids
• Reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools
• Physical ability to get on the floor, move around, stay active, and lift ~50 lbs
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check
