Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

If you want work that challenges you, changes lives, and builds a real career, this is it. For many of our roles you don’t need your RBT certification to apply. What matters most is that you love working with kids, you’re dependable, and you’re ready to show up. Some roles do require an active certification, but if you’re not certified yet, we’ll help you find your path to getting there. Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists, working in homes, schools, and daycares. We hire certified RBTs and motivated people ready to become one. Either way, you’ll work alongside a dedicated BCBA who mentors you from day one, not a manager, not a corporate supervisor.

Responsibilities

You’ll work one-on-one with kids with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities. Every day is different. You’ll follow a personalized plan from your BCBA, implement behavior strategies, collect data, and build the consistent relationships that help kids grow. Your BCBA is closely involved and reachable, so there’s no guessing and no flying solo.

Requirements

• Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially kids who need extra patience and creativity
• Have an active RBT certification, or the drive to earn one
• Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings, since our clients count on consistency
• Come from education, childcare, psychology, social work, or any role where you showed up for kids
• Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools
• Can keep up physically, getting on the floor, moving around, staying active (able to lift ~50 lbs)
• Are at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can pass a background check

Benefits

• $20–$27/hour, based on experience and location
• Direct mentorship from a dedicated BCBA, not managers or a corporate chain of command
• Full-time or part-time (some flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings is needed to meet client needs; not sure if a schedule fits? Just ask, we have many)
