Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the Role

Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists working in homes, schools, and daycares. We hire both certified RBTs and motivated individuals ready to become one. You’ll work one-on-one with kids with autism, following personalized plans from a dedicated BCBA mentor. Every day is different, and you’ll implement behavior strategies, collect data, and build consistent relationships that help kids grow.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities.
• Follow personalized behavior plans created by your BCBA mentor.
• Implement behavior strategies and collect data to track progress.
• Build consistent, supportive relationships with clients and their families.

Requirements

• Genuine enjoyment of working with children, especially those needing extra patience and creativity.
• Active RBT certification or the drive to earn one.
• Reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
• Background in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools.
• Physical ability to stay active, including getting on the floor and lifting ~50 lbs.
• At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification (or willingness to pursue it with our support).
• Experience working with children in any capacity.

Pay

$20–$27/hour, based on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time, with flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings to meet client needs.
