About the role
Alpaca Health is a multi-state network of independent ABA therapists working in homes, schools, and daycares. We hire certified RBTs and motivated people ready to become one. You’ll work alongside a dedicated BCBA who mentors you from day one, not a manager or corporate supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with kids with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities.
- Follow a personalized plan from your BCBA, implement behavior strategies, and collect data.
- Build consistent relationships that help kids grow.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools.
- Physical ability to keep up active work (able to lift ~50 lbs).
Qualifications
- Active RBT certification, or the drive to earn one (we’ll help you find a path and may reimburse training).
- Reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings to meet client needs.
- Experience in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or any role where you showed up for kids is a plus.
Skills
- Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially those who need extra patience and creativity.
- Dependable and ready to show up consistently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Benefits
- Direct mentorship from a dedicated BCBA, not managers or a corporate chain of command.
- Career growth support, including a path toward BCBA certification.
- Depending on the practice: training reimbursement and paid hands‑on learning for those earning their certification.
Pay
$20–$27 per hour, based on experience and location.
Schedule
Full‑time or part‑time positions available; flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings is needed to meet client needs.
