Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

Advanceable ABA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide home‑based ABA therapy for children with autism in the Haymarket, Bristow and surrounding areas. The position involves delivering individualized 1:1 services in the child’s natural home environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans directly with children.
• Help children develop communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily‑living skills using evidence‑based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques.
• Track progress through accurate session data and clinical notes.
• Communicate professionally with families and members of the clinical team.
• Participate in ongoing BCBA supervision and training.
• Stay active and engaged during sessions, including sitting, squatting, walking, running, and playing with children.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification (or willingness to obtain certification with support).
• Passion for working with children and helping others grow.
• 1+ year of experience working with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (required).
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.
• Ability to work in clients’ homes throughout the Haymarket area.

Pay

Earn $23‑$29 per hour, with salary based on experience and credentials.

Schedule

• Part‑time and full‑time positions available.
• Afternoon and after‑school sessions, Monday–Friday; weekends as needed.
• 15–25+ hours per week, depending on availability and client needs.
