Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

Advanceable ABA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide home‑based ABA therapy to children with autism in Durham, NC and surrounding areas. You will work directly in the child’s natural home environment, delivering individualized 1:1 therapy under the guidance of a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans with children in their homes.
• Help children develop communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily‑living skills.
• Use evidence‑based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques.
• Track progress through accurate session data and clinical notes.
• Communicate professionally with families and members of the clinical team.
• Participate in ongoing BCBA supervision and training.
• Stay active and engaged during sessions, including sitting, squatting, walking, running, and playing with children.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification (or willingness to obtain certification with support).
• Passion for working with children and helping others grow.
• 1+ year of experience working with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (required).
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes throughout the Durham area.

Pay

$24–$26 per hour

Schedule

• Part‑time and full‑time positions available.
• Afternoon and after‑school sessions (Monday–Friday; weekends as needed).
• 15–25+ hours per week, depending on availability and client needs.
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments.
