Registered Behavior Technician Paraprofessional

Essential Duties

• Affords assistance in the preparation of educational materials/data collection materials/etc.
• Assists with behavior reduction assessments or skill acquisition plans
• Supports social skills instruction
• Works individually with students and/or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives
• Implements students' Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as directed by the Behavior Interventionist (BI)
• Completes PCI (Positive Crisis Intervention) physical management training provided by the District
• Engages in additional training related to behavior analytic services as applicable
• Performs other duties as assigned by SEC Administrator (Behavior Interventionists, Coordinators and/or Directors)

Required Education

• Experience with classroom environments and/or proven ability to work with children preferred
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately
• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with students and adults
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility
• Technology proficiency (computers, AV, office equipment, etc.)
