Responsibilities

• Deliver ABA (applied behavior analysis) intervention directly to children through the age of kindergarten
• Work under the guidance and supervision of a board certified and licensed behavior analyst
• Assist in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
• Use a variety of methodologies to engage children
• Connect with children in a genuine way
• Work with children aged 2 years old and younger

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree
• Prior experience working one-on-one with young children on the spectrum
• Experience with behavior intervention programs
• Experience with taking data and providing positive behavior supports
• Experience with relationship-based techniques and applied behavior analytical strategies

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 45 pounds
• Climb on playground equipment
• Engage in physical play with children
• Maintain elevated heart rate during therapy sessions
• Run faster than a 5-year-old
• Pick up and transport children safely up to 100 yards
• Walk up and down stairs multiple times a day
• Push and pull children up to 45 pounds on wagons, wheelchairs, baskets, etc.
• Sit on the floor without back support for extended periods
• Fine motor dexterity
