POSITION SUMMARY:
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on Applied Behavior Analysis in various settings.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
- Follow and record data according to prescribed plans and Center guidelines.
- Collect and summarize data on client behavior.
- Aid in parent and caregiver training.
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers.
- Use safe and appropriate handling procedures.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Assist in skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
- Prepare client materials as instructed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with a treatment team including clients, parents, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge through required training.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Carry clients with adaptive equipment.
- Assume and maintain various postures for extended periods.
- Sit for extended periods.
- Be physically present at job locations, including home, school, and community placements.
- Receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Have reliable transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RBT: Entry Level
- RBT Promotions: Potential for promotions based on experience, performance, and education
- Lead RBT
EXPERIENCE:
- Required: None
- Preferred: Experience working with children in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or Allied Health Services experience
EDUCATION:
- Required: High School Diploma. NET workers: Rising high school juniors or older
- Preferred: Completion of 60 hours of college coursework from an accredited university. Enrollment in college coursework for at least 6 hours per semester from an accredited university and/or at least 6 months of experience delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services may be substituted for 60 hours of completed college coursework. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or a related field.
