Primary Objective
Ensure the overall implementation of quality of programs and services are provided in accordance with all federal, state and corporate standards and regulations.
Major Functions and Scope
- Treat all clients with dignity and respect.
- Participate and/or follow statewide-identified systems and processes of the development and implementation of the Individual Support Plan and all related documents and follow up.
- Daily documentation of observations and data collection.
- Weekly and monthly reports to the BCBA or BCaBA in preparation for report to the local operations.
- Participate in response and plan of corrections for governmental oversight surveys.
- Participate in daily living and self-help skills.
- Absist clients in accessing community activities, including outings and medical appointments as directed by your supervisor.
- Provide data regarding behavioral objectives for Program Managers and BCBA/BCaBA.
- Provide orientation and ongoing staff training as directed by supervisor.
- Serve as an advocate for the clients.
- Flexibility in scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Attend ISP meetings when deemed necessary.
- Participate in training to continually improve expertise in the field of developmentally disabled.
- Observe, provide behavioral skills training, and deliver feedback on the use of behavioral interventions to employees working with the clients.
- Participate in on-call support for behavioral crises as needed.
- Model technical, professional, and ethical behavior.
- Review written materials (e.g., daily progress notes, data sheets) for information related to behavioral goals and interventions.
- Oversee and evaluate the effects of behavior-analytic service delivery.
- If pursuing your BCBA, provide ongoing evaluation of the effects of supervision.
- Complete other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision
- High school graduate who has completed a 40-hour training course and exam, having maintained their active certification by ongoing supervision by a BCBA-D, BCBA, or BCaBA
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience working with intellectual and developmental delayed individuals preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Professional Crisis Management certified within 60 days of hire required.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills to effectively interact
- Commitment to providing excellent service; ability to remain calm and courteous when handling difficult situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all documents and communications
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions, company procedures and policies
- Ability to project a positive and professional image on behalf of the organization
- Must be an effective team member
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Other Pertinent Job Information
- Structure of supervision. Supervision must include at least two face-to-face, real-time contacts per month (i.e., supervision may not occur over the phone or via email).
- Your supervisor must observe you providing services in at least one of the monthly meetings.
- In-person, on-site observation is preferred. However, these may be conducted via web cameras, video-conferencing, or similar means instead of your supervisor being physically present.
- All supervision must meet the requirements of The Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
