Registered Behavior Technician

About the role

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will provide family-centered ABA services to individuals with behavior challenges and skill deficits under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Technicians are responsible for implementing behavior plans, data and data collection as well as training caregivers and staff in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA with individual clients, implementing interventions for skill acquisition and behavior reduction as directed by the BCBA
• Deliver ABA across multiple environments including home, school, and community
• Collect electronic data both accurately and effectively as it relates to the program created by the BCBA
• Communicate effectively with supervising BCBA/BCaBA
• Implement parent training to support children and adolescents reach behavioral goals and increase quality of life

Requirements

• Current RBT certification (Required)
• Florida Approved Medicaid Provider (Required)
• Valid Florida Medicaid provider number
• Must be in good standing with Medicaid/AHCA
• Must pass a comprehensive background screening
• Maintain reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance

Qualifications

• Certificate, Bachelor’s, or Associate degree in a behavioral health or related field
• Previous work experience with children with behavioral or developmental disabilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Relevant experience preferred
• Additional certification may be required
