Registered Behavior Technician

About the role

The job of the RBT is to assist in the supervision, care and instruction of students who are experiencing behavioral challenges in and out of the classroom. This position implements behavior management plans, takes data, and helps to support school personnel on behavior management plans as well as individual education plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of students experiencing behavioral challenges.
• Implement behavior management plans.
• Take data on student behavior and interventions.
• Support school personnel with behavior management plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements

• Current TB test (Tuberculosis); if test is older than 12 months, a new test is required at employee’s expense.
• Pre‑employment physical must be presented before the first day of work.

Pay

• Starting salary: $20.50 per hour (commensurate with experience).
• Applicants without a current RBT license start at $17.50 per hour.
• District will reimburse up to $500 to obtain RBT license within 90 days of hire.

Schedule

Classified position, 174‑day work calendar, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week).
