About the role
Colorado Autism Consultants is dedicated to providing accessible ABA therapy to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We seek Behavior Technicians with a strong work ethic and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide ABA therapy under the direction of a BCBA to individuals with various diagnoses.
- Tailor therapy to each individual’s interests and needs.
- Deliver therapy primarily at our clinic in Alamosa, with opportunities for generalization in homes, communities, schools, day programs, and telehealth.
- Receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Follow a clear career advancement path leading to BCaBA or BCBA certification.
- Participate in a Registered Apprenticeship Program that includes supervision, mentorship, hands-on experience, and tuition assistance.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Reliable transportation.
- A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Clear felony background check and previous employment verification.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds, twist, kneel, and engage in active physical play with children.
- A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and MVR record.
Qualifications
- An active RBT certification (preferred).
- Bilingual fluency (preferred).
- A degree in psychology, education, human services, or a related field (preferred).
- Current enrollment in BCBA coursework (preferred).
