Registered Behavior Technician

About the role

COLORADO AUTISM CONSULTANTS is dedicated to making ABA therapy accessible throughout Leadville, Colorado. We seek Behavior Technicians who share our commitment to helping individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA therapy under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Tailor therapy to each individual based on their interests and needs
• Deliver therapy primarily at our clinic in Leadville
• Offer opportunities for therapy generalization in various settings including homes, schools, community programs, and telehealth

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Reliable transportation
• A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
• Clear felony background check and previous employment verification
• The ability to lift 50 pounds, twist, kneel, and engage in active physical play with children
• Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and MVR record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Bilingual fluency (extra consideration)
• A degree in psychology, education, human services, or a related field (extra consideration)
• Current enrollment in BCBA coursework (extra consideration)

Pay

• RBT: $20 - $25 per hour
• Apprentice to BCBA or LPC: $22 - $25 per hour
