Registered Behavior Technician

About the role

A registered behavior technician will assist in implementing evidence-based interventions designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires strong observational skills, patience, and the ability to work closely with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Observe and document client progress and behaviors as part of the data collection process.
• Collaborate with other professionals such as therapists, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistent support and care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
• Experience with data collection and analysis tools.
