Begin as a Behavior Technician Trainee and become an RBT in just a few weeks through our BAYADA RBT Academy.

About the Role

At BAYADA Behavioral Health, we are a non-profit employer committed to providing education and training to help you grow in your career. Our Oahu Behavioral Health Team delivers care in a school-based setting, working with local school districts on Oahu.

BAYADA RBT Academy

The BAYADA RBT Academy provides:

  • A training program to prepare you for RBT certification
  • High-quality training grounded in evidence-based practices in adult learning and applied behavior analysis, including:
    • BAYADA University web-based courses
    • Hands-on training and structured observation
    • BAYADA study guides for the RBT exam

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams
  • Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
  • Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students in the classroom
  • Document interventions and progress toward goals
  • Collect behavior data as specified in the client behavior plan
  • Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help students acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
  • Support clients in interpersonal skills, personal relationship development, and building independence in their school routine
  • Help school-age children succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
  • No prior experience necessary
  • Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA

Starting pay: $30 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM

Locations

We’re hiring in Wahiawa, Mililani, Haleiwa, and Waialua.
