About the role

Become an RBT with BAYADA! Seeking recent graduates, Paraprofessionals, Skills Trainers, Educational Assistants (EA), and those interested in working with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs).

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence and individuality.
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
• Support the student in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals.
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available).
• No experience necessary.

Qualifications

• Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

RBT Starting Pay: $30
