About the role

Become an RBT with BAYADA! We seek recent graduates, Paraprofessionals, Skills Trainers, Educational Assistants (EA), and anyone interested in working with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs).

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals with Autism and other IDDs to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence and individuality.
• Provide care in a school-based setting, working for local school districts on Oahu.
• Follow established service plans and establish relationships with clients and school teams.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals, collect behavior data, and provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
• Support students in developing interpersonal skills, building independence in their school routine, and maintaining personal relationships.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100, or a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available).
• No prior experience necessary.
• Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!

Qualifications

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available).
• No experience necessary.
• Pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

$30 per hour.

Schedule

Weekly Pay, Monday through Friday (7:30am-3pm).
