About the role
Accelation Registered Apprenticeships offers a Registered Apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance Technician at Power Location in Miamisburg, Ohio. Applications close on Tuesday, July 7th. The program is a partnership between Accelevation and Sinclair Community College, providing full-paid on-the-job learning combined with classroom education.
Responsibilities
- Develop foundational skills in electrical systems, product maintenance and testing, and blueprint interpretation
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of power products from assembly through testing and installation
- Rotate through different departments and work with various leaders and experts
Qualifications and Program Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a letter grade of C or above while enrolled in the program
- Pass the entrance exam to Sinclair, which includes math placement
- Reside in Ohio
- Openness to travel to field sites and manufacturing sites
- Strong time management skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives
- Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection

Upon completion of the approximately 2-year program, apprentices will receive:
- An Industrial Maintenance Technician short-term certificate issued by Sinclair
- A journeyman card recognized by the State of Ohio
- Continued employment opportunities with Accelevation, including Test Technician, Maintenance Technician, Field Installation, and leadership positions
Pay
The pay structure is based on skill milestones achieved during the apprenticeship.
Schedule
The schedule is flexible but requires regular attendance for both on-the-job training and classroom sessions.
