WHY DO WE NEED YOU? The Regional Transportation Specialist is responsible for coordinating transportation planning and execution activities for Kaycan and KP shipping locations across Canada. This role supports the efficient movement of finished goods and interplant materials by optimizing transportation resources, managing carrier relationships, ensuring service, cost, and operational objectives are achieved, creating customs documents and serving as the siding liaison for customs and border clearance needs. Working within established transportation network strategies and cost parameters, the Traffic Planner collaborates closely with manufacturing, warehousing, customer service, supply chain, and transportation partners to deliver reliable freight solutions and continuous process improvements. Essential Functions Transportation Planning & Operations Responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution, and coordination of transportation activities.Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities across Canadian shipping locations, including shipment scheduling, carrier selection, freight tendering, dispatch, and driver utilization.Manage transportation capacity, cross-border documentation, import/export container coordination, LTL rate negotiation, routing guides, and backup support for U.S. shipping locations. Transportation Administration & Stakeholder Support Responsible for transportation administration, compliance, financial controls, and cross-functional coordination.Support transportation administration through fuel surcharge updates, invoice review and reconciliation, billing issue resolution, and coordination with key internal teams. Process Improvement, Technology & Performance Management Responsible for improving transportation processes, supporting technology initiatives, and driving operational performance.Improve transportation processes, documentation, systems, and performance tracking to support continuous improvement, technology initiatives, service enhancements, and cost savings.
