About the role
In this role, you will lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will lead the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result. There is a strong preference for candidates located in California that will work remotely. Candidates in the Western US (Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, western Texas) will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
- Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
- Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risk, ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business Field preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Project management experience required (PMP certification preferred).
- Strong communicator with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong reputation for customer focus.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP (SAP preferred), MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other office software.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
- Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Must already have a work authorization that would permit you to work for ABB in the US.

Pay
Base salary for this position is expected to range between $100,500 and $160,800 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
