About the role

The Regional Training Specialist facilitates the Training and Development needs for the Las Vegas Region with an emphasis on Instructional Design. This role designs and develops instructional material, facilitates courses for Caesars Entertainment employees, and demonstrates effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. The Specialist independently develops entry and advanced-level courses and is responsible for delivering employee, supervisory, and management training and development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts employee, supervisor, and management training and development programs.
  • Conducts needs analysis to determine specialized training needs on property.
  • Monitors and evaluates the progress and effectiveness of training and development programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Designs and produces training aids (e.g., case studies, simulations, games, exercises) and support material.
  • Develops, in conjunction with department management, technical job skills and customer service training.
  • Works with departments to ensure all training materials are accurate and well maintained.
  • Advises and assists with the design of instructional systems to facilitate department needs.
  • Functions as an internal consultant to assist management in the analysis and identification of organizational issues and development.
  • Responsible for project management, establishing and meeting timelines, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Effectively represents Caesars Entertainment to groups of employees, applicants, industry counterparts, management, and outside organizations as needed.
  • Conducts career discussions with employees using tuition reimbursement to encourage them to pursue supervisor/manager positions upon completion.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or related subject preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of instructional design and/or technical writing experience preferred.
  • Two years of training/facilitating experience or hotel/casino operations experience required.
  • Experience conducting needs analysis strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of training assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to train/educate adults.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Instructional Design and Courseware Development principles (ADDIE).
  • Technical writing, training, performance measuring, multimedia, curriculum, and course development experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
