Regional Technical Manager- West
About the role
As the Regional Technical Manager - West, you will implement the long-term upstream sales strategy in assigned territories through insulation technical leadership. You will drive insulation product specification and penetration by establishing a customer base of mechanical engineers, specifiers, owners, and key stakeholders. The role focuses on developing new opportunities and capturing market share within industries such as education, healthcare, and office/mixed use. You will serve as an insulation technical expert, providing advice to optimize system performance and ensure Code compliance. This position is remote-based, preferably in the Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, or Phoenix regions.
Responsibilities
- Expand product knowledge, solution implementation, and market share within the commercial market.
- Provide technical expertise on product, application, Code, and other topics to insulation users throughout the region.
- Educate customers on Armacell offerings, highlights, and benefits through demonstrations and presentations.
- Translate market and customer needs into technical requirements for the Marketing department.
- Contribute competitive market intelligence regarding performance of alternate materials and competitive activities.
- Attend project site visits to assist clients with project delivery, including applications training, demonstrations, and advice/guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or related field required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of territory experience in HVAC, plumbing, construction, or equipment industries; familiarity with the refrigeration industry preferred.
- Expert knowledge of the bid/specification process for commercial, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and industrial markets.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings to identify application and equipment for products.
- Willingness to travel up to 65%.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Salesforce.com or a similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this full-time role is $95,000.00 – $125,000.00 annually, depending on job-related skills, experience, and location. Benefits are based on a full-time schedule and may be pro-rated for those who start during the calendar year.
