Regional Supply Chain Manager
About the role
In this role, you will manage a project's supply chain operations and its assigned Supply Chain personnel to establish and implement the procurement and subcontract planning, acquisition, order administration, and delivery of goods and/or services. Your team will execute the project Supply Chain plan, ensuring the monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and performance and that all contractual duties and obligations are met by all parties to each purchase order and subcontract.
Responsibilities
- Own regional supply chain performance, maintaining a holistic view across projects, people, systems, and results, and taking accountability for outcomes.
- Translate global and regional supply chain strategy into executable regional objectives, driving alignment, prioritisation, and delivery.
- Accountable for regional staffing and resourcing, including workforce planning, recruitment, mobilization/demobilization, and utilisation to meet project and business needs.
- Provide supply chain leadership and hands-on input to bids and proposals, including strategy development, risk assessment, resourcing, and cost/schedule inputs.
- Serve as an active member of the Regional Functional Leadership Team and the M&M Supply Chain Leadership Team, shaping direction, decisions, and continuous improvement.
- Own regional Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), including supplier performance, escalation, engagement strategies, and alignment with regional and project priorities.
- Provide direct, hands-on support to projects, intervening as required to resolve issues, manage risk, support key decisions, and ensure successful execution.
- Accountable for effective onboarding of new starters across the region, ensuring timely integration, system access, and functional readiness.
- Oversee and enforce DSCS adoption and compliance within the region, while remaining hands-on in resolving issues and supporting project teams as needed.
- Drive collaboration and consistency across regional supply chain teams, sharing lessons learned, improving ways of working, and strengthening cross-project alignment.
- Own regional training, capability, and competency delivery, aligning global frameworks to regional needs and actively supporting skills uplift and succession planning.
Requirements
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and be accountable for supply chain outcomes on major, complex projects, with depth of experience across project phases from bidding through execution and close-out.
- Proven capability to lead, influence, and shape a high-performance regional supply chain culture, reinforcing accountability, ethical behaviour, collaboration, and delivery discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of end-to-end supply chain execution (contracts, procurement, logistics, supplier management, governance), enabling credible decision-making and effective challenge.
- Sound judgement to balance strategic leadership with hands-on engagement, stepping in directly to resolve critical issues, manage risk, and support projects at key points.
- Ability to translate global functional strategy and standards into practical regional execution, ensuring consistency, compliance, and value delivery across multiple projects.
- Established credibility as a trusted functional leader to project, regional, and senior leadership, able to influence outcomes, lead through change, and drive improvement.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects, ideally across multiple phases and environments, with a clear track record of enabling successful project outcomes through supply chain leadership.
- Evidenced ability to lead, influence, and shape culture, not just manage work.
- Clear capability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver, bringing depth of experience to support projects when required.
