About the role
Promote and sell all products and services within the Northeast US territory, driving top-line growth through a manufacturer's rep network. This is a home-office based position requiring extensive travel.
Responsibilities
- Grow sales of all company offerings (new products, support services, and automation) with a proactive sales approach, meeting and exceeding established monthly sales targets.
- Be the product and market expert within the territory and a trusted resource to the client base.
- Develop and execute annual territory plans.
- Identify target accounts (end users, OEMs, and engineers) based on market segments.
- Manage the territory's independent manufacturer's rep network through established annual goals, identifying key customers, joint sales calls, and periodic performance reviews.
- Establish and/or advance relationships with strategic distributors, OEM accounts, key end users, EPCs, and engineering firms not supported by another sales channel.
- Ensure the company is listed on key customer and EPC's AML/AVLs.
- Work with all clients to establish the company as a preferred vendor.
- Negotiate pricing levels with the assistance of leadership.
- Resolve conflicts within the territory between sales channels, end users, and OEMs.
- Evaluate existing sales channels such as manufacturer reps, distributors, or OEMs within the territory.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to establish annual sales goals.
- Participate in weekly forecasting meetings, prepared with active project updates.
- Coordinate with the inside sales team to ensure opportunities are managed through the entire sales cycle.
- Work directly with Sales Management, ASMs, and MSMs on international projects.
- Participate in tradeshows, conferences, or professional organizations that support promotion of the product line within the territory.
- Manage expense accounts within established budget guidelines and in accordance with company policies.
- Provide appropriate reports to management, locally and internationally, including call reports, pre-call plans, expense reports, time, and territory plans.
- Portray professionalism and integrity in daily activities that align with corporate culture.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel within the designated territory up to 50%.
