About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is a field sales position responsible for the development of the hair extensions business in an assigned territory. You will be the company’s first outside point of contact with Salon Professionals and Stylists. As an expert in hair extensions, you will assist Salon Professionals with products, color selection, and installation techniques. This role involves aggressive sales targets, including new business development and growth of existing accounts, and requires approximately 75% travel within North Carolina.
Our ideal candidate is located in the Raleigh, NC area and will report to a Director of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Create powerful, trusting relationships with salon owners, stylists, and employees
- Manage rotation of both existing and new business development
- Maintain a strong funnel of potential new business
- Deliver high-quality in-salon presentations and product classes
- Conquer new salon business and meet new business goals
- Sell new products to existing salons
- Drive education in your market and sell all forms of education available
- Achieve individual revenue goals by educating and consulting with salon owners and stylists
- Support retail segment sales through merchandising and promotional activity
- Manage a systematic meeting schedule for assigned accounts
- Execute strategic education plans for each salon in the territory of focus accounts
- Promote, plan, coordinate, and assist in the execution of regional and national company-sponsored business development and educational events
- Attend all company-provided meetings and training
- Travel up to 75% per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of luxury brand outside sales experience
- Outside sales and salon industry experience preferred
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High sales drive and customer service orientation
- Ability to prospect and close new business
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Adaptable to working with and educating various personality types
- Competitive and collaborative
- Required to be in the field 3-4 weekdays a week (not a remote/WFH position)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and comfort with learning new programs
