About the role
Katjes is a leading European confectioner that has been bringing 100% vegan gummies to the U.S. since 2021. As we continue our rapid U.S. expansion, we are seeking a strategic Regional Sales Manager to accelerate growth across the Midwest & Central regions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive distribution and revenue growth
- Manage key retail accounts across the Midwest & Central region
- Drive new customer acquisition and expand product placement
- Manage broker and distributor networks
- Build strong relationships with retailers, brokers, distributors, and category managers
- Execute annual business plans and track regional sales performance
- Manage promotional budgets and account-specific promotions
- Analyze distributor reports and syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, SPINS)
- Implement merchandising strategies including shelf placement and displays
- Support forecasting, trade planning, and sales reporting
- Identify opportunities to expand into new retailers and markets
- Represent Katjes at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in food or beverage retail
- Experience in snacking or confectionery preferred
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. grocery & convenience retail landscape
- Experience managing brokers, distributors, and field sales teams
- Strong planning, customer management, and communication skills
- Experience using Circana, Nielsen, or SPINS data for sales strategy
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Pay
$110,000 to $140,000 DOE plus performance-based variable pay
Schedule
70%+ travel across the Midwest and Central U.S.
