Regional Sales Manager
About the role
This remote position offers the opportunity to manage a large geographic territory across the Eastern United States. You will work with customers, channel partners, distributors, and industry stakeholders to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building long-term partnerships, executing strategic territory plans, and identifying new opportunities in evolving markets. Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies to drive new business and expand existing customer relationships.
- Build and maintain partnerships with distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, contractors, and strategic accounts.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities while growing market share across key industry segments.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and business reviews to customers and industry stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and other industry events to strengthen brand awareness and business relationships.
This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong territory management skills, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on business development in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, territory management, or strategic account management.
- Proven success developing new business, growing strategic accounts, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing territory plans, managing channel partners, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable managing a large territory independently.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience within industrial manufacturing, utilities, electrical infrastructure, construction, energy, engineering, or related markets preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
Pay
This permanent position offers an OTE of approximately $180,000–$230,000+ with a base salary of $110,000–$140,000+ annually, depending on experience.
