Regional Sales Director - Retirement Plan Sales

About the role
The Regional Sales Director (RSD) will represent Mutual of America Financial Group in a sales and marketing capacity to clients and prospects in an assigned territory, with an emphasis on soliciting new group takeover plans and cross-selling other products. The RSD will report to the Regional Vice President and join a dedicated sales team driven to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a large territory, uncovering new sources of business.
- Meet with Plan Sponsors of 401k and 403b retirement plans through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Cultivate new prospects and cross-sell solutions within a geographic territory to exceed sales goals.
- Attend client review meetings with the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for top clients to secure introductions and references for sales opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of outside business-to-business sales experience with proven efficiency in selling, presenting, prospecting, and territory management.
- Knowledge of retirement products (401k and 403b plans).
- Demonstrated ability to make outbound cold calls into prospective clients.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker who can work independently.
- Active FINRA Series 6, 63, and SIE licenses.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Life Insurance license (preferred).

Pay
Base salary range: $90,000 – $130,000. The role is also eligible for quarterly commissions (uncapped), whereby total compensation may exceed this range depending on individual and company performance.
