Regional Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company safety policies through personal interaction with project teams and field leaders and employees on jobsites.
• Teach, coach, and mentor the company's Safety Culture through Production Risk Management (PRM).
• May assist with training efforts, based on department needs.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate safety program implementation & compliance.
• Write & review safety documentation (Job Hazard Analysis, incident reports, pictures, traffic control plans, pothole excavation plan, etc.) at each jobsite visited.
• Attend daily safety meetings, providing Safety Training and awareness.
• Proactively identify hazards to prevent harm to employees, equipment, and the environment.
• Investigate & document incidents, accidents, and near misses at the scene.
• Track progress of "Future Preventative Measures" from incident investigations to completion.
• Utilize resources (local, state, federal) to evaluate risk management effectiveness.

Requirements

• Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent safety experience.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy construction safety.
• Experience leading safety training, workshops or courses related to civil construction Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience developing and managing safety programs.

Preferred

• Minimum 3 years' experience developing and managing safety programs.

Schedule
