Regional Safety Director

About the role

The Safety Director serves as the guardian of safety standards and environmental stewardship within Pave America, LLC. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health, safety, and sustainability of operations by developing and implementing comprehensive safety and environmental compliance programs. The position reports directly to the Corporate Safety Director and requires 90% fieldwork performing site visits in the greater Atlanta market, with 10% office-based work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain corporate reporting to OSHA, DOT, and FMSCA.
• Ensure compliance of individual subsidiaries with all local, State, and Federal Environmental, OSHA, DOT, and FMSCA standards.
• Stay informed about upcoming changes to Environmental, OSHA, DOT, and FMSCA standards that affect the corporation and its operations.
• Collaborate with 3rd party consultants in areas of work responsibility.
• Assist in training local safety and fleet managers on standards.
• Participate in steering committees within the corporation.
• Work with HR and Operations Managers to ensure all compliance areas are up to date.
• Monitor Samsara camera driving habits and maintain a respectable Pass Score.
• Attend weekly meetings with Management and project meetings with high safety requirements.
• Conduct post-accident investigations, including property damages.
• Conduct post-injury investigations.

Requirements

• 10 years of safety management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Certifications (at least one of the following required):
  • ESCO certified
  • CSP – Certified Safety Professional
  • ASP – Associate Safety Professional
  • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
