This is a hands-on role that blends strategy with execution and includes regular time in the field supporting retail activations and store teams. While the initial focus is one geographic market, this role has the opportunity to expand in scope as the regional marketing function grows.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute regional retail marketing strategies that support customer acquisition, loyalty, and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain an integrated marketing calendar aligned with seasonal trends, business priorities, and promotional initiatives.
  • Create campaign briefs and partner with Paid Media, eCommerce, Loyalty, Retail Operations, and other internal teams to bring campaigns to life.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and recommend optimizations based on customer behavior and key performance metrics.
  • Coordinate in-store marketing efforts, including signage, point-of-sale materials, and promotional activations.
  • Visit retail locations regularly to support events, gather customer and store feedback, and ensure consistent brand execution.
  • Translate competitive insights and local market trends into actionable marketing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and serve as the primary marketing resource for the assigned region.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable regional marketing strategies that can be replicated across additional markets.

What you will likely need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years of experience in retail, growth, or consumer marketing.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple customer touchpoints.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, loyalty, retention, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept through execution while coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating campaign performance and using data to drive marketing decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region, with candidates based in the Chicago area strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as cannabis, healthcare, alcohol, financial services, or another highly regulated environment is preferred but not required.

Additional requirements

  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations required to work in the industry.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible for any required state licensing or badging.
  • This role is initially focused on the Illinois market with the opportunity to support additional regions as the organization continues to grow.
