About the role

The Global Regulation & Transversal Studies (GRTS) Team is the point of contact between the Propulsion System, PPPL, and Regulatory teams. Operating through regional members, the team ensures the readiness of the PRS in the face of new regulatory or cross-cutting initiatives and conducts related studies within the PRS, working with PPPL until CM approval.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the evaluation of new regulations or transversal studies within PRS, collaborating with functional technical leads and PPPL until CM approval.
  • Ensure all new regulations/bulletins are captured, analyzed with Metafunctions, and approved on time.
  • Coordinate discussions between relevant stakeholders at the PRS Transversal Table and ensure consistency.
  • Maintain synchronization between the PRS Transversal table and Systems table of the different platforms involved.
  • Lead governance discussions, reporting activities in milestone preparation, and support escalation documents.
  • Serve as the main contact between the Propulsion System team and PPPL for transversal studies.
  • Interface with SSTM/SFMS to collect costs from all PRS platforms involved and ensure consistency.
  • Guarantee cost-level details requested by PPPL and VEMO.
  • Support SSTM/SFMS for cost convergence with VEMO at various governance steps.
  • Support SSTM/SFMS and System Chiefs of all PRS platforms to collect development timing and ensure consistency.
  • Assist the PPPL team in understanding PRS impact due to regulations on STLA launch cadence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the above disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills and an interdisciplinary mindset to enable problem-solving in a complex environment.
  • Passion for propulsion systems, an open and curious mindset, and eagerness to learn and deep-dive into the topic.
  • Strong project management and planning skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional work groups, meetings, and task forces.
  • Strong proactive communication and mentality.
