About the role

We are seeking a Regional Public Affairs Lead to help shape and execute public affairs strategies across a portfolio of markets. This role will partner closely with consultants, community stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support market development, strengthen community relationships, and align engagement efforts with business and regulatory objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of regional public affairs strategies across assigned markets.
  • Assess community dynamics, political landscapes, and stakeholder environments to inform engagement plans and market priorities.
  • Partner with local consultants to develop market-specific strategies and execute key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, civic organizations, neighborhood groups, coalition partners, and other influential stakeholders.
  • Oversee and support community events, activations, and outreach initiatives aligned with market objectives.
  • Identify, cultivate, and mobilize local advocates to support community engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with policy, operations, communications, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory priorities.
  • Monitor and report on community sentiment, political developments, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities across assigned regions.
  • Prepare regular intelligence updates and recommendations for leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, community engagement, public policy, community organizing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing and coordinating with consultants, agencies, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of political, regulatory, and community engagement environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder situations and build consensus among diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to work independently across multiple markets while remaining aligned with broader organizational objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization at community meetings, public forums, civic hearings, and senior stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Experience within technology, transportation, infrastructure, mobility, or other regulated industries is preferred.
