Regional Project Cost Accountant – Southeast Region

Location: Franklin, TN (Onsite) – relocating to 2300 Clifton Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 in November 2026. Reports to: Regional Accounting Manager. Employment Type: Full‑Time (Exempt).

About the Role

The Regional Project Cost Accountant supports the financial success of construction projects across Loenbro’s Southeast Region by ensuring accurate project setup, job‑cost tracking, compliance coordination, and financial data integrity. The role partners closely with Accounting, FP&A, Project Controls, and Operations teams to provide reliable project reporting, maintain cost accuracy, and drive successful project closeout activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate project setup and maintenance within company systems, including cost structures, budgets, and project financial data.
• Monitor job costs, support WIP reporting, and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of project financial information.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, including compliance documentation, lien waivers, open commitments, and cross‑functional follow‑up.
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Project Controls, Payroll, AP/AR, and Operations teams to resolve issues and support project financial performance.
• Support month‑end close processes by reviewing project transactions, researching discrepancies, and helping ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support standardization across regional operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting, project accounting, or project cost accounting experience.
• Experience with job‑cost tracking, budgeting, and WIP reporting within a project‑based environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple stakeholders and departments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Viewpoint Vista or similar construction ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience supporting construction, industrial, engineering, or other project‑based operations.
• Exposure to project closeout, compliance coordination, or subcontract administration processes.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role is primarily office‑based with occasional visits to active construction or industrial project sites. Minimal travel is required. The employee must comply with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
