AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and collaborate with diverse teams of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

About the role

This Regional Construction Program Manager will help implement solutions focused on improving processes, streamlining workflows, and creating tools used by field execution teams to deliver capacity more efficiently. You will work closely with internal and external partners (General Contractors) to ensure industry best practices and innovative ideas are considered when adopting new programs. The role involves assisting senior leadership in determining key metrics, reports, and goals for new and existing programs to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage programs and processes simultaneously.
  • Engage with technical experts and key stakeholders to initiate new programs, including developing new processes and program documentation.
  • Identify process and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions.
  • Develop and maintain lessons learned and establish mechanisms to share this with teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders on key program initiatives to develop and implement procedures and systems that continually improve and streamline the program.
  • Drive simplification and automation to evolve processes, services, and solutions, increasing agility and efficiencies while lowering costs.
  • Establish a metrics-driven, programmatic approach to strategic initiatives to develop improvements and efficiencies.
  • Gather, define, refine, and drive requirements for program process, standards, and system implementation to monitor and report on construction programs across multiple geographic regions.
  • Define and evaluate KPIs derived from program milestones, estimate, spend forecast, and cost/resource-loaded schedule performance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
  • Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
  • 5+ years of construction or project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience.
  • Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
  • Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.

Pay

Base salary range for this position: $111,300.00 - $186,100.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Schedule

This role may also work from one of the following locations if business need permits: Data Center sites in South Bend, Indiana; Atlanta, Georgia; Jackson, Mississippi; or Herndon, Virginia.
