About the role
This position supports retail pharmacy locations in the Harrisburg, PA market area. The ideal candidate will be centrally located to support assigned locations.
Responsibilities
- Provides effective in person training on all pharmacy department operations for newly hired pharmacists within a training area consisting of up to twenty-five (25) retail pharmacy locations.
- Aids in the completion of new hire training materials and additional new hire training as directed by supervision.
- Ongoing training of all pharmacy associates on new systems, new initiatives, or enhancements to current systems or processes.
- Identifies training gaps and operational opportunities and collaborates with leadership to develop corrective action plans and educational resources to address identified needs.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all pharmacy systems and processes including, but not limited to, pharmacy dispensing, inventory management, clinical initiatives, and pharmacy/store operations systems.
- Works directly with Pharmacy Operations leaders to provide input and feedback to influence strategies to improve overall pharmacy operations, compliance, and associate engagement.
- Serves as a liaison between pharmacy associates and Pharmacy Operations leadership by communicating field feedback, identifying operational challenges, and recommending practical solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supports compliance initiatives by reinforcing company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements through ongoing education and coaching of pharmacy associates.
- Participates in pilot programs, system testing, and process validation activities and provides detailed feedback to support the successful implementation of new technologies and operational initiatives.
- Coordinates and administers the successful completion of CPR certification training.
- Assists with the development and ongoing upkeep of the department’s training and procedure documentation.
- Keeps accurate travel and training records and submits weekly recaps and follow-ups with supervisor and pharmacy operations leaders.
- Carries out special projects and assignments as directed by leadership.
- Performs all responsibilities in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 to meet education and experience requirements.
- Valid National Technician Certification.
- Driver’s license for travel.
