Regional Operations Manager - Carolinas

About the Role

The Regional Operations Manager is the Business Leader for all operations within an assigned geographic region, overseeing all functions and general operations of the company’s business for that region.

Success Factors

• Associate satisfaction scores in assigned locations meet or exceed annual goals.
• DART rate in assigned locations achieves the annual goal.
• Assigned locations are staffed at 95% of the Staffing Target throughout the year.
• Turnover reduction in assigned locations meets or achieves the annual goal.

• Training and development results in preparing a high-potential candidate for promotion to the Regional Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes business processes that drive profit and loss for the region’s unloading business.
• Advises the Director of Operations on decisions that best serve business outcomes.
• Collaborates with support department leaders (HR, Finance, Accounting, IT) to develop and recommend operational decisions.
• Provides coaching to direct reports and operational leaders, setting clear expectations for success.
• Conducts monthly one-on-one coaching sessions with each direct report.
• Sets clear expectations for teams in customer service, safety, development, and training.
• Reviews direct reports’ performances against KPI goals and position expectations.
• Ensures audit procedures are in place to inspect compliance with company policies, procedures, and values.
• Complies with established policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local laws.
• Participates in Customer Top-To-Top and operational Continuous Improvement Meetings as directed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, pull, stretch, twist, and lift to handle product and operate warehouse dock equipment safely.
• Capable of working in varying hot and cold temperature environments.
• Extensive travel to assigned locations is required.
• Use of standard office equipment in a typical office environment.
• Ability to use close and distance vision to focus on a computer screen for the majority of the workday.

Qualifications

• Management experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving, preferably in grocery supply chain.
• 3+ years of management experience in a warehouse environment with responsibility for HR, safety, production, financial analysis, customer relations, and team leadership.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships through influence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
