Regional Operations Manager
Base Location: Monroe, Connecticut
Supporting Locations: 4-5 sites in New Hampshire (Hudson / Portsmouth), Bangor, Maine, Piscataway, New Jersey
Work Environment: On-site in warehouse and at client locations
About the role
This position manages a regional team within the Logistics division, including supervision of personnel, expense management, financial performance accountability, and execution of the talent strategy. You will collaborate with the Carrier Sales Team, Capacity Procurement Team, Logistics Sales, and Customer Service Teams to match loads to capacity, ensuring freight moves meet customer expectations while growing the carrier base and building long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Strategize, implement, and execute regional growth
- Onboard, develop, and retain top talent
- Assure all freight is covered timely and in accordance with internal policy
- Support pricing processes for regional freight
- Participate in carrier and customer visits
- Negotiate rates and manage talent development
- Ensure adherence to Werner-qualified carriers and/or employee 26 ft. box delivery drivers
- Additional related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Logistics preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of logistics experience
- 3–5 years as a multi-unit field leader
- 7–10 years in third-party capacity or White Glove Residential Delivery
- Profit and Loss accountability experience preferred
- 7–10 years of management or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Werner systems and regional market freight rates
- Up to 50% travel (“Road Warrior”)

Pay
Expected starting pay range: $65,925.60 – $87,900.80 annualized salary, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
