About the role
We're seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead and optimize operations across our veterinary clinic locations in California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll oversee significant P&L responsibility while driving operational excellence and business growth across our multi-site network. This remote position requires 70% travel throughout California and the Pacific Northwest to ensure hands-on leadership and support at each location.
Responsibilities
- Optimize operations across a substantial portfolio while identifying growth opportunities and improving profitability
- Develop and elevate hospital managers and their teams, creating a pipeline of talent and fostering high engagement across 12 locations
- Streamline workflows, implement best practices, and leverage data to drive continuous improvement in patient care and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify expansion opportunities and execute regional initiatives
- Ensure all locations maintain the highest standards of veterinary care while meeting regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of multi-location operational leadership experience managing distributed teams
- Experience overseeing operations in service-based industries with focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to optimize complex workflows
- Excellent communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven change management expertise in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations, veterinary or healthcare preferred
- Licensed DVM in good standing, preferred
- Track record of managing P&L responsibility and achieving financial targets
- California residency preferred (relocation assistance available for the right candidate)
