Regional Operations Director, 2 Hour Learning - $200,000/year USD

About the role

You will be accountable for maintaining a premium quality experience across 25+ schools in the Northwest region. Your execution determines whether a campus sustains its premium character or quietly deteriorates between leadership inspections.

Responsibilities

• Running scheduled on-site inspections at Northwest campuses using documented criteria for cleanliness, HVAC performance, safety protocols, security systems, signage, grounds maintenance, furniture condition, and visitor readiness — and ensuring findings result in confirmed corrective action
• Managing facilities incidents and urgent issues, coordinating contractor response, and closing work orders only after verifying resolution (urgent within 24 hours, standard within one week)
• Overseeing local contractor performance against service level agreements, terminating vendors who consistently underdeliver, renegotiating contract terms, and conducting direct accountability discussions regarding quality and pricing
• Implementing a weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure each location executes consistent processes instead of improvising solutions
• Executing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC system upgrades, interior design updates, landscaping renovations, AV and network installations) on time and within budget, with minimal impact on students
• Documenting enterprise-wide operational standards and AI-powered procurement workflows (leveraging ticketing platforms, IoT and predictive maintenance tools, and centralized sourcing systems) to ensure uniform campus launch and operations
• Delivering concise weekly written updates covering regional quality metrics, vendor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure variance

Requirements

• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (strongly preferred) — or elsewhere within the Northwest region: CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, or ID — prepared to work primarily from the Bay Area campus with 30–50% regional travel
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
• 5+ years managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or school operations
• Demonstrated success holding vendor-managed services accountable for quality, cost control, and SLA compliance across multiple sites
• Consistent written operational discipline: issue tracking logs, escalation documentation, vendor correspondence, weekly regional quality summaries
• Verified experience using modern operations platforms (ticketing systems, IoT and predictive maintenance tools, AI-enabled procurement or planning systems)

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Regional operations leadership in premium hospitality, high-end retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare networks serving demanding clientele
• Proven ability to terminate underperforming contractors and develop a reliable local vendor network
• Experience leading capital improvement initiatives (HVAC replacements, AV and network upgrades, landscaping overhauls, interior renovations) in active, customer-facing facilities
• Familiarity operating in an AI-driven environment where playbooks, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine tasks so staff can concentrate on decision-making

Compensation

The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
