Regional Nursing Home Dietary Consultant

About the role

As a Regional Dietary Consultant, you will be part of a district management team, providing overall planning, direction, evaluation, and control of food service units to achieve operational and financial goals. You will guide and motivate Culinary Services Managers and Associates while establishing and maintaining effective customer and client rapport.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts within a set region to ensure compliance with government and agency standards.
• Oversee planning, budget analysis, and reporting for the region.
• Create efficiencies within facility kitchens.
• Assist with training Food Service Directors in the ordering process and tray card program.
• Assist with the hiring and/or interview process for facility Dietary Services Managers (DSM) as needed.
• Ensure OnTray policies are met in each facility.
• Report on any equipment needs in facilities.
• Ensure facilities’ kitchens are clean, logs are kept, and sanitation standards are upheld.
• Assist with training and oversee the food quality and presentation program.
• Oversee inventory management.
• Assist with order guides and menu adjustments.
• Assist with staffing hours for kitchens.
• Communicate updates and happenings in facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in long-term care food service management.
• Experience in budget management.
• Possess all required licensure to serve as a food service director and food handler.
• Registered Dietitian certification is a plus.
