Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the merchant acquisition strategy for your region
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified merchant opportunities
- Possess the ability to prospect, approach, and acquire new merchants through outbound and relationship-driven sales
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to signed agreement and successful onboarding
- Identify high-value merchant opportunities across multiple industries
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful merchant launches
- Develop local partnerships and co-marketing initiatives that accelerate merchant acquisition
- Represent GoBTC Pay at business events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Continuously gather market intelligence and competitor insights
- Report pipeline health, sales forecasts, and commercial performance to leadership
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, Merchant Acquisition, or B2B Sales
- Proven track record of acquiring and closing new business
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Experience selling fintech, payments, SaaS, banking, crypto, or financial products
- Ability to build a pipeline independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Existing business network within USA
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Experience working with merchants or enterprise customers
- Knowledge of payment processing, acquiring, or merchant services
- Experience in crypto or digital assets
