Regional Medical Officer - Field Remote

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits for patients as part of a hybrid role, primarily on weekdays
• Oversee all physician employees in Fresno and Madera Counties
• Act as the clinical leader for the market, representing the company’s interests
• Be responsible for all clinical outcomes in the assigned areas
• Drive innovations and improvements in healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction
• Provide strategic guidance on performance-based medical management
• Collaborate with regional vice president to manage budget and risk factors
• Analyze and present business performance to executives and the board
• Manage relationships with local IPA markets effectively
• Perform rounds and management at skilled nursing facilities (SNFs)
• Oversee utilization management and various assigned projects
• Collaborate with non-clinical departments for seamless operations
• Build strong relationships with providers in the network
• Lead recruitment and staff development initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Hospitalist, Family Practice, or Internist roles; new graduates will be considered
• 1+ year of administrative experience required
• Managed Care experience preferred but not mandatory
• M.D. or D.O. with appropriate residency
• Active medical license and DEA license required, must be board certified or eligible
• Interest in career management is a plus
• Spanish speaking candidates are favored
