Essential Duties

  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the release of information concerning the residents, employees, and/or the facility in accordance with current Privacy Rules and Regulations.
  • Aid the Administrator and department directors in the development and use of marketing and public relations policies and procedures.
  • Establish a rapport within and between departments so that each staff member can recognize the importance of their role in our marketing and public relations programs.
  • Develop, organize, implement, evaluate, educate, and direct the facility’s public relations and marketing programs and activities.
  • Maintain and increase the facility’s census by providing the community with information about the facility’s programs, services, and practices.

Qualification

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or public relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Languages: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Must have strong business and analytical skills. Familiarity with basic mathematical concepts and operations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite products. Must maintain licensing credentials for an Administrator. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: This position requires the ability to understand Microsoft Office Suites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk and talk, read or hear. Frequent use of all office related equipment to include; copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator.
