Regional Manager - Spine - Midwest & North Central
Territory covers Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, and Virginia. Based in St. Louis, Missouri; remote work within the territory (ideally near a major metropolitan airport) will be considered.
About the role
The Regional Sales Manager, Spine – North Central and Midwest regions will oversee and manage Spine product sales performance, training, and related activities with the sales force, surgeons, and accounts in the assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Implement sales strategy for agency Spine business and follow up frequently to ensure execution.
- Identify weaknesses and offer evidence-based solutions when needed.
- Ensure agencies are properly structured to maximize growth and competency of the product line, including recruitment of experienced Spine managers and deployment of Arthrex training programs.
- Assist in organizing and leading agency Spine training for surgeons and representatives.
- Launch new Spine products within the region.
- Present Spine products and bundled strategies at high-level meetings.
- Govern Imaging & Resection product pricing and qualifying discounts related to product bundling.
- Assist representatives with trialing and closing activities at key accounts and report on sales readiness.
- Build custom solutions to maximize opportunity and business impact.
- Communicate agency focus and structure related to Spine to leadership (North American Director of Sales – Spine, Regional Director, Senior Director of Sales East/West, and VP Sales).
- Communicate product performance to product management and recommend product line enhancements.
- Collect key competitive information to drive sales effectiveness and product development.
- Coach, teach, and direct agency personnel via conference calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits on products, sales strategy, and competitive information.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of sales experience with Spine products (endoscopic approaches preferred).
- Willingness to work with cadaver specimens.
- Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
- Ability to work with different functions and coordinate activities to achieve results.
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PC, and specialized software; Microsoft Teams and Salesforce experience a plus.
Pay
Targeted cash compensation package (base, commissions, and bonus) of $200,000 to $250,000, with potential to exceed based on experience and performance. After one year of employment, Arthrex contributes to a long-term bonus plan funded entirely by the company.
