Regional Manager - Medical Staff Services
This role covers territory East of Cascades including locations such as Yakima Memorial Hospital, Off Campus Emergency Departments, Deaconess Hospital, and Valley Hospital. It is a full-time position (FTE: 1), working a day shift (Schedule: M-F).
About the role
The Regional Manager of Medical Staff Services manages the assigned region of Medical Staff Services. They assist with performance improvement and compliance activities, implement and maintain medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations, and policies and procedures. They conduct performance reviews, provide support, guidance, and development to direct reports. Additionally, they provide flexible support to cover absences or peak demands within Medical Staff Services.
Responsibilities
- Administers personnel actions including hiring recommendations, performance appraisals, orientation, and timekeeping.
- Supports medical staff services in preparing correspondence and facilitating communication between departments and committees.
- Collects data and prepares related summary reports for medical staff and organization management as requested.
- Assists with the implementation of medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations and organizational and departmental policies and procedures, and privileging forms to ensure consistency with regulatory agency guidelines.
- Oversees medical staff services department functions of the assigned region.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Certified by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM) and maintains current certification, or achieve certification within two years of hire.
- 5 years of experience in a professional or technical role/function.
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity in medical staff services in an acute hospital environment that includes all aspects of the credentialing and privileging processes.
- Credentialing database experience required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay scale for this position ranges from $101,545.60 to $146,140.80 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, years of experience, and certifications/education. For positions associated with a union contract, pay reflects the appropriate step on the pay scale based on years of experience.
