Regional Manager

Regional Manager roles at third-party management firms carry a different weight than in-house equivalents. What This Role Covers This is a full-portfolio oversight position based in San Diego. You'll carry responsibility across personnel management, financial performance, leasing strategy, and maintenance operations for a portfolio of multifamily communities. The financial side requires real fluency: developing annual operating budgets, writing monthly variance commentary on income and expense line items, monitoring vendor contracts and capex proposals, and keeping ownership reports accurate at closeout. NOI improvement isn't a background goal here. It's the primary metric, and you'll be expected to identify trends and adjust strategies proactively, not reactively. On the personnel side, you'll screen, hire, train, and coach on-site staff, including Community Managers. That means handling performance documentation, working with HR on terminations when necessary, approving timesheets, and processing salary increase requests up the chain. The expectation is consistency: using company-standard techniques and benchmarks rather than improvising. Leasing oversight includes building annual marketing plans, evaluating whether on-site teams are closing effectively, and developing resident retention programs. You'll also stay close to service request turnaround, property appearance, and emergency response protocols, all of which affect both resident satisfaction and liability exposure. Skills Required Vs.
